Oh well.  I said what I think and that was more than I wanted to say.  😁 For my part, everyone should do what they think is right.  Maybe I'll be retiring soon.  Or?  Uh no.  But I've experienced a lot and with this knowledge I don't have to hide.  Where are all the videos here of people doing better?  I have not seen her yet.  First and foremost, I wanted to avoid hunting with a sling.  It is not necessary.  Should anyone feel offended.  Here you go.  None of this was meant to be an insult.  And now we should go back to posting pictures of slings.  😁

Twisted netted sisal sling

Pro's
- very light sling (10-20g)  fast to make, feels very efficient in use, little drag,
- requires less fibre to make than a braided sling or a woven pouch
- easy to make
- well suited for clay ammo and smooth stones

con's
-  not very well suited for angular rocks, for that rock type I prefer a flat leather strip pouch

I really like the aesthetic of that sling, rustic, simple but pleasing.
Is the base of the pouch 4 cords and then netted together?
I'm also interested in seeing how you did the netting.

Youre killing it lately J. How does it compare to some of your others? Any idea of how much spin it puts on the shot compared to other slings?

it's simple, just use your creativity
splice a 3 strand pouch sling from a long single twisted cord,
and splice in a net with any pattern you like with another piece of cord, I tried netting knots, but this is easier, quicker, and less obtrusive than knots, you can splice in any net pattern you want

the sling with the 3 strand pouch itsel is made from a long piece of twisted sisal cord, just two pieces right from the
twine ball, reverse twisted
together as tight I could

I don't know, I have only thrown about 10 clay shots with it, worked fine, but thats smooth clay shot, I would imagine that
bad rocks don't work well in netted slings.

I have to stand up from my cover and throw the stone in a split second with Greek style

What do you think about Apache style?

I notice that with less effort, my stones fly farther than, for example, the Byzantine style with more force. But, too long slings do not work, those that are longer than 30 inches. I for personal identified 3 varieties of Apache, with a spin, without a spin with a diagonal release and an almost vertical release

P.S.  And horizontal without spin release
just like this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynPQjANd22I&ab_channel=Jes%C3%BAsVega

The Apache style is very similar to the staff sling throw, since the hand acts as a staff and is released in the same plane
