I decided to load all my slings.
I've experimented a lot.
According to my feelings, Balearic slings with a split pocket shoot more powerful by 5-10% because of the clean release, the ammo flies faster. But you need to choose a medium-sized stone, large ones roll and fall out, and small ones feel bad.

I love Apache style slings.

They allow me to throw even super heavy stones of 500-600 grams, but only at 30 meters.

On average, Apache-type sling with a solid pocket, for every 100 throws have 3-4 miss release, the delay in releasing the cord prevents free release.

I constantly train sling skill with my friend, so I take Apache slings, I am so always sure that the projectile will not roll, because the Balearic slings are the hardest in mastering for me. Even when I am with someone, I throw a stone with a force of 50-70%, when I invest 100% I am afraid that the projectile will not roll over, although this has not happened yet.

The Apache sling has never stone rolled back to the side, no matter how bulky it may seem.

Very good work. Does the blue sling have no pouch? Or is he so small?

Lots of good slings being posted.

Xud, think I'm going to have to shorten it to that lol, I like it man. Especially the color of that blue sling. Something about that shade is very nice for a sling.

Guys, many thanks for the compliments. I am running to catch up so making slings to try and find what works for me. So where I use leather I will make a few identically but wet and/oil them in different ways to gauge the effect. I have tried various materials, natural and man made for braids and the two balearics are homemade butchers twist hemp and cotton and plain blue jute. The twist is a knotted pouch and the blue jute is 12 strand so the pouch needs reinforcing with leather. Cheers.

Made a new leather and paracord sling after reading one of No One of Consequence's posts. The pouch design is from Curious Aardvark.

The pouch holds ammo better than any other pouch I've had before, but it sometimes holds it too well and turns it into a club that hits me on the back. Only a problem if I use smaller stones though.
