Well... first impression of the loaded sling: It’s a lot of fun!
I added a cracker to the release cord and it gives a really nice crack without sending a tennis ball into orbit.
I also tried throwing empty plastic Easter eggs, and the wind resistance stops them after about 15 feet but the Magnus effect is really obvious as the egg curves wildly in mid-air. The sling is comfortable for throwing things that weigh almost nothing.
I suspect it would be a really useful tool for short range sling golf shots too.
I will try to post a video soon-ish.

How was the follow through? I know one of the issues I had when working with the compound sling was that after you let the projectile go, there's still a big weight coming around.

@joe_meadmaker It’s not bad, honestly. In my case, it’s only 30 extra grams though.

the magnus effect is awesome when you actually add lift. nothing like letting a projectile go and it climbs not falls

Couple new jute slings I whipped up. I really like this design, getting nice clean release even on bad or too light stones.
The thinner pouched one performs slightly better, you can access the split pouch type behaviour better whilst the other acts more as a rigid solid pouch.
I've waxed both and it has a nice effect on the jute. I've also finally found a minimalist type tab that I can get along with.
