How did you do that very outer layer of leather for the owl? I’ve never seen leather like that.

Just got lucky going through a pack of leather scraps. I have some other gold and lots of silver too.

Edit: heres the pdf of the owl sling to get a better look at that leather.

Wow, that’s really cool. I might have to commission you one day to make a sling for me with a mask from one of my favorite games.  Grin

The Cthulhu sling Flint made for me arrived and I finally got some cords on it. Just simple herringbone braids (Both about 71cm) but they should do the trick. I felt paracord would be too neat so went with natural fibres. The pouch is so great and not just for the awesome design but it's really nice thick leather and the asymmetric style looks like it's going to work really well in practice. One thing I didn't expect is how comfortable the fingerloop is. I thought it might end up being too thick but it's genuinely one of the most comfortable retention cords of all of my slings.

I haven't had the chance to go test it out but I'm thinking this weekend I'll go back to Lauttasaari and throw some rocks into the ocean. It seems appropriate with it bearing the face of a horror of the deep... Cheesy Thanks again Flint
