Amazing sling! If I had one like that I’d be afraid to use it  Grin.

From time to time I hear the following sentence: "If I ever see one of your slings laying around, I'll cut a piece of and hang it around my neck!"  Roll Eyes

And yes, this sling is intended for shooting.

A very heavy sling, a paracord Balearic style sling, 5-strand (partially gutted near the end).

That looks really nice. I've mostly been using natural materials for sling making or cotton string but I do want to have a go at making a braided paracord sling. Would be that bit more long-lasting.

That is a nice colorful balearic kto! How heavy is very heavy? More than 2 oz?

Thanks for clarifying KTO! Cheesy

Thanks for the feedback as well y'all. I was practicing with it yesterday, it was heavy enough to be really inaccurate as I'm more used to lightweight slings made from one strand of paracord. Smiley

Looks really nice, never thought about using one of those for a sling pouch, but it looks like it works great.

Yes, very nice. It has now fulfilled the highest destiny any tow strap can hope for... The sling pouch.

This is the tow straps version of leaving the karmic wheel and attaining Nirvana.

12th cent. illustration showing a slingstaff  and Perrier in action. You can see they are definitely related.

I'm always surprised by the Medieval depictions of staff slings because the sling part is always so short. It almost looks like a shallow plastic bag. I still haven't had the opportunity to test out my staff sling (read Tibetan sling tied to a broom handle...) but I wonder if it would be better to make a much smaller sling component.
