Can someone tell me where I can get lead from, and how to make lead glandes? That would be nice, because I need ammo like that for maximum penetration.

If you have a local hardware store, ask for a lead pipe. You have a better chance at this on a neighborhood hardware store rather than the big companies, aparently lead pipes are obsolete or banned depending on your country. I asked at a local store and they gave me three pieces 1.5 kilograms of pure lead for about 1 us dollar. It was covered in dust and aparentley, were glad to dispose of it

Balancing weights are the next best choice.

Posts: 73	Re: Pictures of Slings and Slinging Reply #506 - Mar 5^th, 2009 at 8:32pm You can also get lead really cheap from any Hardware store by getting roof flashing. Comesin 20 pound rolls and is in a sheet form roll. Melts very easy and can be cut into small pieces for melting with sizzors.

Attached are my latest, with thanks to Steven for the tip on how to make the three-strap type. With a 3mm braided leather bolo cord, I'd call it my best performer so far. The braided white one has a split pouch and was made from cotton string, with stitched suede to reinforce the finger loop and pocket - looks great but doesn't work all that well. Tennis balls fall out, and it may be too long for me for rocks.
