I wove another Tutankhamun-style sling yesterday, this one using tarred-bankline and gold/orange/black bonded+braided mason line. I used a flat fishtail braid for the down cord and a tapering round braid for the release cord. This sling is ~27" from center of pouch to the finger-loop.

Hiya! New member here, Marcus from Sweden (ja, ja...)!

Anyways, just purchased my first paracord batch a couple of says ago and this is the result so far:

- 3 bolas, two withouth weights that I made just for practicing monkeyfists, and one with 1.5cm steel balls. I'm driving with my neighbours crazy by practicing indoors at night. A hallway and a collapsible shower curtain rod makes for a great practice area ^^

- 2 slings. Only difference between them are the sizes of the pouch. The black is the smaller one (never saw that one coming, huh?) and the pink is slighty wider and longer.

I would appreciate any recommendations for paracord sling patterns, the one I used feels very basic. It is certainly functional, but lacking in pizazz.

I recently constructed these two Rockman-style slings for a customer. They are both the same approximate length, and use a fishtail-style flat braid for the down cord and a tapering round-braid for the release cord.

I like this color combination (the orange-gold-black bonded mason line, and the black tarred bankline) a lot! I think that I'm going to make a Rockman-style sling in these colors for myself, too. Smiley

Here is a pouch style I have been working on. The outside lines under tension pull the pouch to cup the ammo no matter what shape it is in. I have only tried it here in the back yard with tennis balls and it looks like it may work really well. Have any of you guys tried this and what were the results. I should be able to go out next week and do some serious throwing.

Wingshooter, I did a similar sling (almost) : a few pages ago.
It works OK but it's still too short since I didn't do a separate pouch :p

What's up, guys?
Those are pics of my recently made all-jute seabelt-like sling for tennis ball practicing. It's 80 cm long (31,5") with 3-braided string and jute tape that I found at local builder's supply as a pouch. For cords fastening and stopper I've used double Matthew Walker knots, stopper is whipped as well.

I'm rather satisfied with the result, so I'll probably try rockman and balearic next.

Thought I should contribute some pictures of my slings. These were all made by myself. The first one I made was the red paracord one on the bottom right. I used a slingshot pouch and it works really well. It's probably my best sling but then it might just be because it's the one I've practiced with the most.
The one above it is my newest sling made from the same paracord and some leather for the pouch.
All the other slings are simple braided slings with either split pouches or pouches I've braided in some extra string to.
The unusual ones are the top and bottom ones on the left. The bottom one is a sling that has a reindeer antler bead so that I can use as a bracelet and the one above that one is tapered to work as a whip. It... sort of works. I think iit needs a bit more experimentation.
