Pikaru, the Honda Eye is definitely one of the coolest slings I have ever seen!

And like kava asked, where do you get your stones? They are totally cool! And how do they throw?

Pik, I really like the finger weaving on this sling!

So much so I've made a couple slings that way and put a section on finger weaving in TSG! Smiley

Here's my latest sling. I made it for my friends brother. I showed my friend how to sling a few months back and now him, his younger brother, and his girlfriend all sling.  Cool

I also added a leather reinforcement for increased texture since the picture, here it is regardless. Four strand round braid, mason line and tarred bank line, tapered release cord. For the pouch, 7 strand white flat braid, 4 strand finger weave. 27" long, throws great.
Kind of Balearic-ish inspired.

Gotta ask, where do you get your sling stones from? or do you make them?

I make all of my slingstones.

Pikåru, the eye is really impressive. In fact, the basic idea of my recently shown basket sling was to make a pouch that has a central hole like an eye. But it didn´t turn the way I imagined. Your solution seems much better to me.

The following two pictures show the finished basket sling and an experiment that´s unfinished yet. As you can see I picked up the idea of the eye. The two basket pouches are quite big. In the case of the completed one the release is delayed when using small (light) ammo.

Here is the Lovelock-cave sling I´ve made some time ago following Teg´s tutorial. The pouch was made too narrow, so all the rocks fell out too early. Now I added a 4-strand-braid on each side that was attached by multiple sewing around. After this modification it works phantastic.

Another one that I finally completed. It´s made by the same technique as the previous one. The pouch is very small (see also page 263). Until now I´m not convinced of this sling cause of loosing ammo. I´ll try to use smaller rocks for it. Maybe the problem will disappear after wetting/drying the pouch to make it softer.

When I was in Ireland, I found this tiny museum in Dingle. The person had an impressive display of artifacts, including a Roman ceramic glande. It was half the size of a chicken's egg. Alas, he would not let me hold it. Cry

Well I finally got around to making an actual Aussie sling.  My previous attempts were with jean denim with a single layer of duct tape for the pouch but they never felt right.  Now I have a small source of seatbelt material (alas poor 1990 Corolla, you will be missed).  So its seatbelt pouch, 550 cords, B50 dacron lashings, and superglue over the lashings. 32" folded.

Still need to try it out :\
