Whoa, forum looks way different now, I love how the message/new thread boxes are at the bottom of each chain, rather than a separate page. Makes scrolling up and looking at old stuff way easier and better than before. Many thanks to C_A
Anyways, my dad picked up an old bike from one of his coworkers and I've slowly picked up bike riding again. Yesterday I managed to get up to a levee overlooking a huge lake a few miles behind my house; although it's separated by a small boggy area so I have to go in a few big loops and up a few large hills and around several busy intersections to get there.
Anyhow, veni, vidi, slingy- I came, I saw and I slung.
Random picture of sunset, just to show how awesome the place was:

here's the actual lake I was slinging into, it's actually a bit bigger than this, as the lake is slightly ooblong and I was facing the closer side

Since I haven't slung in a long while due to a plethora of reasons, I decided to use a more reliable and overall awesome sling, the captain paul (golf ball sized).

And of course more pictures of where I was slinging from

Sorry no pictures of me actually slinging, I was by myself and there was no easy way of standing up my camera/phone somewhere and setting a timer on it.
EDIT: oh, my distance was around 50 yards tops, although I might/am probably off. There was a heavy wind coming off the lake towards me, and the levee drops another thirty yards down. It makes judging distances harder, and all my shots seemed extremely close to shore. I've been here once before a long time ago, and when I slung I also had a seemingly short distance, even though I know I've hit 80 yards and sometimes more.
