Here it is, just finished, but yet not tested. It`s made from cotton, this time with a finger loop instead of the horn retention toggle of the previous sling. As you can see, in the release position the middle part of the pouch moves down (below the pouch level).

Some nice slings, innovative and well woven.

here's my last  Wink black and white yarn over hemp split pouch sling.

Beautiful, just beautiful.  Now... You're not actually gonna throw that rock from that gorgeous pouch are you?  Aren't you afraid it will tear that yarn into fluff?!  My black and whites are tennis ball and rusty sling ball slings ONLY.  Too much work with that rascally yarn to throw nasty ole rocks with...

b&w over hemp pouches lose the stark color contrast, but don't get riipped up. I do use them as tball throwers though. The black and gray and the camo yarn over hemp are better suited for rocks as there isn't any real color contrast anyway.

I've worked with cotton twine enough to know there is a lot of twine necessary to make a sling that thick. Same question as jlasaud, how much does it stretch?

And it looks great.

Nice!  That tubing looks pretty thick!  What kind of tube did it come from?  The only ones I've been able to try are standard, cheap, 24" bicycle tubing..

How do you like it?

It´s not too stretchy, especially when you pull the cords before loading the ammo, they remain in that length for a while. I´m not sure if it`s really cotton. It´s sold as natural fiber cord and seems to be cotton (it is not hemp, sisal, jute or flax, so by principle of exclusion it has to be cotton - or linen).

It`s a quite thick cord. I consumed about 28 m of it to make the sling. The stretching is not too much, maybe 5 cm. I tried it yesterday and it slings as good as the overlapped triple sling. The only difference is that you have to push the stone into the pouch that tends to "close" whereas in the overlapped version the pouch is always wide cupped.

There are many names I thought about. Still can`t decide.
The triple sling without overlap could be named double split pouched sling because it is split twice or maybe the 3D-split pouch ´cause the split can be seen from the top and from the side. Or to keep it simple I`could call it the Tri-pouch.

The previous one with the overlap then would be the Overlap-Tri-pouch. First I had the idea to call it the "Rockman plus" or something like that, but in a Rockman-sling you would divide the pouch halfs (or thirds) directly near to the cords. My triple slings are more like the classic peruvian slings.

By the way. I´ll have to try a triple Rockman!

It's a thick mtn blke tube. It's smooth on the inside, so i'm going to rough it up a litte with a file. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Lemme know how you like it.  I'm sorely interested to see if anyone finds them as wonderful to use as I do.
