Hmm nice sling! Very nice colors you've got there. Grin Blue and red are the best colors in the world...sort of... Roll Eyes How many slings have you got TimdaSling? Those are gorgeous stones man...just waiting to be chucked at some innocent poor creatures and humans Grin
How're they slinging? I meant...is the sling good and all?

yes that one is quit good. not perfect Iīll hope the aussie pouch arrives soon.

i hadnīt got enough rope to wove it tight enough so it is a bit loos.  but the stones sling very well and are the right size so theyīll fly pretty far but now Iīve got to find an new field as I sling much better than before Cool

Ow and Iīve got 2 slings now both on page 17  Smiley

I posted this below in another thread, but here it is again.  It's a video taken by my lovely wife of me slinging in North Carolina.  So for you people that looked at the pictures of me slinging and wondered why my body was in the position it was in the stills... now you know.

Nah! They didn't have slings and anyway they wouldn't have had the range to return the fire. Grin

1:1 scale human skull (no jaw) made form modeling clay, the final product will be ceramic plaster, a good substitute for bone.

The sling looks to be absolutely beautifully made. Please tell us more about it. What material is it made with? What size/weight stones do you use and what distances can you throw?

Once I make the negative mould, Iīll have a perfect replica of a human skull, and thus, a good target for skill shots.

This a sling a bit longer than my usual, ca 105 cm/42``, folded.
It has a ``Double crossover leather strap`` pouch and an easily removable leather finger loop. Developed the idea after reading about Captain Pauls slings.
I tested it today, had to adapt my underhand for it, for great distanses, and used fig 8 for trying to hit things.  Worked better than I had dared to hope for Wink

I had a great sling session by the river Severn in deepest Shropshire while visiting my folks. Dad took some photos:

This one is just after release - you can see how the stone has pushed the release cord aside on the way out:
