Well,

Now that we got the ball rolling......(heh heh)

Somebody get fired up and produce a winner for us!

DTB can direct,  MikeR will do stunt coordination, ME should do the casting...just to keep it real,  Funslinger can do props, Lobohunter.....I'm sure would be great for set security, equipment and the obligatory Goliath re-enactment......

(mwaaahaaahaa)

Peace,

TS

You need more than a rock to put lobo down. Maybe one of his own broadhead bullets could do it?

But seriously though, there are alot of hunters out there. If a video was made, its only logical for there to be a hunting segment. There are tons of primitive technology buffs these days and hunting with a sling would be right up their alley.

If I could find where the wife put (read lost) our video camera I'd go out there this weekend and get some footage.

Never fished with anything cept rod and reel. But someone on here mentioned they took two fish with their sling in another post. I'd like to fish with a sling shot, or maybe if i could get one of english's crossbows, that would be cool too. Sorry gettin off subject here.
Ok time to work on my next sling lol...

Your question, dumb?  Certainly not.

If and when I ever figure out how to do it, I'll see if I can borrow a camera.... Wink.....and upload some footage.

MikeR,

I was thinking more like dense 'nerf glans', as it is afterall, a Re-enactment!

Imagine for a moment, Goliath as an accomplished slinger!  David whips out his sling....Goliath is hurling bowling ball sized rocks at nearly a couple hundred FPS....

Shocked

Peace,

Not that it's considered fishing. I brought my sling along with me over the weekend while kayaking and ended up using it to ward off a territorial beaver that I encountered on the river I was on. I guess he/she was pissed i took over their fishing spot. It worked like a charm though, it went from slapping it's tail against the water to running/swimming away. Tongue

Dan,
Please make such a video. A lot of instructions on the site, but al depend on being able to learn from reading and/or drawings. And some people learn better from watching someone doing the work.
Some people like me just like to see other people work. (I can watch that for hours.)
I think Chris will be willing to put a video into the articles section too.
