I had a concept of a short sling staff. The staff itself would be under a foot long, with a sling of appropriate length. I don't think the range would be very great, but it would be easier to carry and conceal. Anybody ever try this?????

A few of us have been exploiting this concept for some time. One of my personal designs is nearly ready for prime time. It's effectiveness is quite demonstrable. It is nothing less than a classically mechanical analogue to the 'gravitational slingshot effect' employed to add appreciable velocity increases to space probes.....

And for me personally, adds much enjoyment to our sport!

I am home from a recent vacation and will be attempting to finish my website and hope to give our sport a much needed shot in the arm......

The Arm of David, that is!
