Greetings, Tint
If I recall correctly, a while ago you posted some video of slinging in HK. I really enjoyed this little bit of "vicarious slinging." Gorgeous scenery, too! Needless to say, I hope you folks in HK don't get slammed too hard, but I just looked at some satellite images on the web and it looks pretty grim. That is one big mother of a typhoon

! There are 6 billion people on this planet, but this website has only a few hundred members. We need to have all of our slingers safe!
You had mentioned the danger of landslides. Where do you plan to ride out the storm? Are you right near the water or will you be inland a little bit? Are they going to open ( strongly built ) public buildings to use as shelters? Do you have any emergency supplies ( food/water? )Believe me, nobody here has forgotten the havoc wreaked by Hurricane Katrine last year and it is best to be cautious. Stay safe, Tint. We'll be thinking of you.
.......Dan
