Suggest google:

look for stitch and glue boat plan.

A dory is about as simple as it gets for a seaworthy boat.

Plywood planks stitched together with wire over frames and then covered with fiberglass. Stiching wires removed and more fiberglass.

Fast relatively inexpensive. Smiley

and here:

Keep in mind no boat is cheap; it is merely a hole in the water that you pour money into.

Gard,
also have a look at this website:
http://www.alaska.net/~fritzf/Boats/Boats.htm
He used to have many easy to build ideas, I have not been there a while.

   Steven,
Much as I love boats, you are entirely correct, but the complete
formula is: " A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money and the money disappears."
    Gard, you have been warned!

Well, I have no money to pour in a boat, still got 11 000 NKR (970 pounds) to pay on the hardingerfiddle, so I don't have that problem.  Undecided
Willeke, that link was really good, thanks! Wink
