go for it.  or do you mean a new forum?  if you wanted to start a new topic, you could just do it as easily as you made this one.

if you mean a forum, then it would take some work probably to show chris that we needed it.  it took us something like one or two months, fifteen pages, and four or five transactions to convince chris that we needed a trading forum.

obviously, the criteria would be different for this suggestion, but you understand.

or...in a complete twist of fate, chris could be like
"dude!  i love 1600's and on!  let's do it"
or something like that.

either way...

I am personally not in favor of a forum about 1600's and on. I love this site because it's theoretically about Primitive tech and nothing else. You could always start your own though, I'd definitely join.

If you just mean, a thread about 1600's and on, this is the place to discuss it.

why did you chose 1600s anyway?

yea i meant forum my bad and i thought 1600s sounded good because it would follow the development of the gun/ explosives/, and the impletment in wars
a newforum would not affect the other early weopons forum at all.
how do i contact chris  ???

The best place for a topic on the 1600s (the development of firearms and the lot) is for you to create a new thread right here in the Other Topics board.  I prefer having a dedicated board for primitive weapons, and they relate to the sling being contemporary.  Alternatively, The project goliath thread might be applicable if you are planning on discussing how the introduction of firearms changed the medieval battlefield and ultimately removed the sling from the battlefield.
