Wow nice off of subject discusion.
Any way back to topic. Racoons have a routine. A route of travle that usaly takes three to 7 days to complete.
back when I was snareing nutria, In oregon I would often see a pair of racoons at almost specific spots at at specific dumpsters on certain nights almost a year later I noticed the "coons" were sticking to the same routine

Check river banks especially those in brackish waters, the tracks are easy to recognize as they have thumbs.

just the one season about three months
I tried the flesh of the Nutria it was edible. I am told that raccoon when roasted properly is delicious
