Fascinating? Let's be honest.....your coy use of the term in light of your obvious contempt for such concept reveals more than a little angst concerning the issue.
Your above statement may be more accurately expressed:
"Evolution is a fascinating, vital and diversionary part of the religion of humans, namely me."
For it requires greater leaps of faith to close the chasms of her missing links than to believe in a God whose calling cards are etched upon all. Even the hearts of the faithless.

One of many pointed though largely dismissed facts regarding 'evolution'....is that of all the fossils on record. None have been found in an interspecies transitory condition.
Even though, quite logically, there should be MYRIADS more of them than their 'stable' forms. For, according to evolution's own religious theory, for every modern example of a certain species....there should be hoardes and hoardes of examples of fossils exhibiting the long, arduous, journey from one species to another.
Even when living examples of ancient species are found....the Coelacanth for instance.....
They are shown to have not 'evolved' at all. The Coelacanth, as is demonstrated on rare occasion, still swimming clumsily along with it's stubby fins, or as some priests of science like to faithfully refer to them.... 'legs'.
The thoughtless, brainless, mechanism that 'sees' the need to 'design' new appendages to adapt to the 'survival of the fittest' model......absent.
The Coelacanth swims today, looking exactly as the fossils unearthed from their burial places.....from millions of years ago.
Although there are myriad examples of life today which clearly show the amazing flexibility of species to adapt to environment WITHIN their species......
The fossil record is conspicuously devoid of any obvious interspecies 'mutations'. Of which there should, statistically be many, many more than those uncovered......and if anything, this fact alone lends serious support against the the perverse religious supposition that is....'Evolution'.
