This Saturday, March 5, I will again risk life and limb by doing the second of our local Polar Bear Swims. This will be in Lake Ontario, which is iced over now.
Don't worry, I will be wearing my Badger hat to keep warm. The proceeds from the swim benefit the Lion's Club for the Blind foundation, so I consider it time well spent. There will be about 300 other crazies doing it with me! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

The lake temp was 34 degrees, with big chunks of ice all over the place. Brrrrr!. But, I persevered, and went underwater, badger hat and all. All together, 481 swimmers went in and raised $12,000 for the Lion's Club for the Blind.

Some of the money goes to spport their sumer camp, for the blind, called of all things, Camp Badger. Gotta love the name.
