What a nice tutorial Zorrro! I also use slings made of medical tape. It is a good option for "lazy" slingers Wink

In the shape, structure and position of each stone, there is recorded a small piece of history. So, slinging them, we add a bit of our history to them.

VERY COOL !!
'course any real 'craftsman' would have used duct tape :-)
Going to give that a go I think.

Good to see you guys haven't been slacking in my absence :-)

actually medical tape has more a rough surface than smooth duct tape hence it would hold ammo better in the pouch

plus medical tape is much cheaper than duct tape.. atleast around where i am

I throughly enjoy this sling, props to you Zorrro

lol - oh I can see the benefits of medical tape - but it is way more pricey than duct tape in england and, well duct tape is what I use for everything :-)

Give me a bottle of P-U glue and a roll of ducttape and I can fix ANYTHING !!!!!

zorro, that loks like a good sling. it's like forsythe's apache sling except it requires no braiding, cutting or sewing (the cords could be tied as you say).
i will try it with the tape, mine is almost the same as yours but i just use a bowline loop as a split pouch. thanks for the idea.

Grin I made a simple sling using shoe string and cloth surgical tape. After some works, the tape becomes tough. I have my second sling! Grin

I just made one of these ( while watching Wimbledon last night)!! Grin

Well, not exactly.  I couldn't find any medical tape on my part of the world so I used a cheap version of duct tape.  and instead of 5mm nylon I used 8mm.  The result is a great sturdy sling.  A little on the heavy side so I guess next time I'll use thinner nylon.  I really like the feel of it.  The big plus is that it is cheap and quick to make, so if it breaks I can easily make another just like it.

Thanks Zorro!  I am one happy guy.
