Originally one small knife way for eating and one was used as a small sharpening steel. Since WW1 however, Gurkhas have been putting all sorts of stuff in the small pockets of their kukris. Usually survival gear of one type or another. Hope that this helps. Smiley

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Yeah, Kukris are good for many reasons, the primary one being that they attract turkish women, other reasons being that a large knife/small sword is good for many many things. Killing, digging, carving, eating, etc. Like the asian version of a bowie knife.

yea but if you buy a kukri for under 40$
A. Ur ripping someone off
B.your buying an oversized knife shaped like a kukri.

not to mention all kukris for himilayin imports have a lifetime garuntee anyway imo would rather buy one 100 dollar kukri than a bunch of 30 and 40 dollars

well see im a survivalist. and i need something thats good for choping down small trees and such i also need a knife that can be used to carve and do detail work so. yea i was thinking about small kukri which i still maybe well buy but the man reason is because of the 2 little knives that come with it there good for the detail stuff and the kukri is good for the manly man stuff

so if u can think of a knife thats good for chopin saplings and a knife thats good for the detailed stuff please post
(im not in to that hitting the back of your knife with a rock thing that just F@$^s up ur knife)
