Political/religious threads
Dec 7th, 2005 at 1:39pm

Please don't.

Beaverbutt's thread had no purpose other than to soapbox and/or Quote:
So, who's up for a nasty political argument?  Cheesy Tongue Nothin like stirrin' the political pot
Wink

And even though this _is_ the "other topics" forum, we try to keep it to administrative/troubleshooting and the occaisonal social discussion, not disturbing the peace.

Thanks,

Matthias

Matthias- Arn't there any websites that allow or cherish
this kind of discussion ? Perhaps posting a website for
these people would lure them away... Tongue

Which would be a good thing....

As I feel it, this site exists to discuss the sling in all its dept. As an extra there is the other primitive weapons section, because the slingers are often into those too.

And because people are people, there is a need to discuss more topics. But there is an end to it.

Some topics do not belong here, are too controversial or do insult people.

That is where I say no.

But David and Goliath, while the thread may not belong in the slinging section, have a reason to be discussed. So I left it alone, and will keep doing so as long as people keep the discussion reasonable.

As long as the subject does not turn people away from the topic i am fine with it. But with a subject like religion it never stays cival for very long

Raging against the machine is soooo 1999 Tongue.

Seriously though... most political and religious threads seem to be baiting for people who disagree, then a majority of people can rip them to pieces and disgrace them. Which isn't a good thing.
