But I'm curious: You believe that the extinction of the dinosaurs occurred when people were around, indeed, less than 10,000 years ago? Not, say, 65 million years ago? There are many types of bacteria that can survive, nay, thrive, underwater. But there are many that are intolerant of oxygen, hydrogen, and other elements humans take for granted as being beneficial - for certain bacteria, oxygen is like sulphuric acid to us.
