And this of course is also why more information should be made available. It is unfortunate that areas of study lacking in documentation often fall by the wayside of "serious" research because they perpetuate a cycle of disinterest for many. Why hasn't X been researched? Probably because there is no interest, they say. No interest, no study. No study, no further findings. No new interest generated, no further study.
Of course, sometimes it's because there just isn't (seemingly) a whole lot to study in the first place, and I think that's the issue here. What information there is on the sling appears to be constantly recycled, with little questioning of the validity of statements made concerning it. I think that the experience of those who actually use slings, then, is of invaluable use to the proving or disproving of such long-standing "truths".
