You folks are a riot!

Somebody did a study of how people read, and discovered that as long as the start and end of the words were correct, the middle parts cuold be mispeld very baldy and poelpe cuold sitll raed it.  And the article was written just liek that, I didn't reaize it was all misspelled utnil I was done...

Something like this?

Cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdgnieg. THE PAOMNNEHAL PWEOR OF THE HMUAN MNID Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer In waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is that the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm.Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter  y istlef, But the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh?
(Sorry, I do not have the sorce for this.)

When I am tired I see texts like this, people with severe dislexia see all their texts like this all the time, some even worse.
In normal texts I see the short words like this, the longer words will normally have one twist rather than being all mixed as in the texts above.

Willeke,
I haven't been back to this topic for a while; my apologies.

You got it exactly.  And I read that paragraph very easily, except for the part in all-capitals (that part, I had to work at each word).

BUT, I could only read that mess quickly.  If I tried to read more slowly, it turned into alphabet soup!

Wow, that's what some folks see ALL THE TIME?  No wonder some people have trouble reading.  If you never see the same words the same way twice, it will take much longer to learn the patterns.

Hey, I recently ran across the idea that ALL these mental "disorders" are ways the mind normally works, taken to an extreme degree.  For instance, the author claims that all geniuses are mildly autistic: if they were not, they would lack the single-mindedness to pursue their ideas.  Those who are recognized as autistic, are TOO autistic to qualify as geniuses.

That's pretty amazing. I can read Willeke's post without slowing or thinking at all (makes it worse actually). Pattern recognition at its finest.

More pattern recognition.....

According to medical experiments:

If you can find the Man's Head within 3 seconds, your right brain is highly advanced....much more developed than normal people.

If you can find the Man's Head within 1 minute, your right brain has developed normally....or about the same as most other sheeple in the herd.

If you can find the Man's Head within 1-3 mintues, your right brain is slow in reacting, you should eat more meat protein....and stand on your head at least twice a day.

If you can find the Man's Head in 3 minutes or more, your right brain is a disaster... extremely slow in reacting, the only suggestion is to please watch cartoons to help normally develop your right brain.  Avoid C-Span at all costs.

...

Peace,

TS

Less than 3 seconds, wow!  Perhaps your right brain is too active....maybe you should watch more C-span but not while standing on your head...

You are too modest......you need to drink more coffee.

P.S.  Just make sure you grind your own beans!

Peace,

TS

The bald guy is just a distraction....the real head you must find is a pattern made of coffee beans.

I'm unable to see those kinds of things because  I only see through one eye at a time. To see those puzzles your eyes have to be working in unity.
I was wondering if that's what I was suppose look for.
