Save your coinage.  Sahara  blew harder than....well, a Saharan sand storm.

But then again, that is coming from a battle hardened Cussler fan.

Each character was like....an 'anti' character from the book.

Bummer for me, but hey.....for the unwashed public.....might be a blast!

Went to see Kingdom last night - lots of Trebuchet action, for all of fans of really biiiiiiiiggggg slings.

After all the neagtive reviews, i was pleasantly surprised. It was not a 'get out of seat / go to back of queue / go straight back in movie like Gladiator, but it was good. I am moderately well informed about the history of the Crusades, and apart from the central character and his girlfriend, thesy did not monkey much with reality. People have been slagging it off, saying it casts all the Christians in a bad light and the Moslems in a good light.... its not true. The Christians they showed ina really bad light - Guy De Lusignan and Reynaud de Chatilon - were if anything WORSE in reality.

No Hand slings in it I am afraid.

Crazy cracker idea, better than average popcorn film.
Kingdom of Heaven... I'm not convinced about that elf guy, Bloom.  I'm not a fan, and I don't believe he can act.  I'll see the film anyway though.
