Next to the king, or general, or whoever is in power to block off arrows!  Just kidding.

You'd be a slinger of cause.  Slingmen were placed at the back of the formation in the early battles cause they out range everything else and they are not required to run around cause they have to stay close to the pile of glands that were prepared for them.  As long as you can sling far, being fat is not a problem.

I'm real skinny though.......

I shouldn't think there would be any fat men, simply because of massive amounts of vigorous exercise and lack of good food.

big guys are great foot soldiers, because even though they may not move quickly, the may have massive amounts of power. I have a freind who is 350 pounds or so, and he's about 6'7" tall, but I've seen him pick up an old door and use it like a tower shield. Unfortunately, in any sort of charge, endurance is a problem, but most battles didn't last that long anyway back in medieval times.

Now that's scary.  If I saw a great big guy using a door as a shield on a battlefield, I know what I'd do.

Shoot him.  And then run like hell.

I don't care how big the man is, hit him in the niagaras, and he's going down for the count. Maybe an SCA legal sword to the groin would stop him? I mean, who's going to report you, eh?

That sounds too macho.  Why is it that someday you will get beaten up?  It's better to use words and outwit someone, rather than get hit, whatever anyone says.

I know that song.... what is it?  I think I might have heard a cover version....
I just listened to the song I thought it was; "I come from a land down under."
