Yeah, I'd go with that.  Links page is quite good too.  But there is plenty of stuff on this site.  Also, apparently Sling Braiding Of The Andes is a good, though complicated, book, on the subject.  I haven't personally bought it (129.50 for a book?  Get off.  I'd pay that for a bike.)  But it might help, along with this site, of course.

"Sling Braiding of the Andes" is advanced braiding.  The basic design is for a 16-element braid with an 8-element loop, with extra strands added in for a woven pouch.  There are also patterns for 4, 6, 12, and 32 element braids.  There's "Braids:  250 Patterns from Japan, Peru and Beyond" (I think I got the wording right!) which has, well, 250 patterns of braids to work with, from just a few elements to more than I could keep track of, but nothing about pouches.  These braids are generally complex and take a while to master.  If all you want is a sling that works, the articles on this site are your best bet.  They're much simpler, faster, easier, and give you a sling that works just as well as the fancier braids do, possibly even better.  My personal favorite is the one with the green sling.

english and everyone else, you can get sling braiding of the andes for about twenty bucks. Do a search for a thread that  i started  that is "sling braiding of the andes" and you should be able to find the contact who was selling them cheap. If you need any more help ask.

Yeah, I have a copy of the book and it was no where near the price of a bike!
