In A period of confusion in my life I hunted with rabbit sticks for about a month as one of my means of subsistance. killing many a rabbit, sguirle and chipmonk. Also one very anoying opossom.
During this period of time. I disovered it is much easier to find a rabbit stick than make one. in fact they often come in pairs. by splitting the proper  fallen branch.
a heavy end is prefered  a curve is nice. i prefer mine about three feet in length my method of procuring rabbit
sticks is look, heft ,throw if it past these three test then we have one. I can usaly procure three usable sticks in this manor with in a half hour. it has never ocurred to me to pretty some up and keep them on hand. warning a rabbit stick is a highly abused tool. If used a lot it will
break.
that said nice Rabbit stick English Much prettier than any I ever owned

Yeah, I figure you can just pick up a stick.  But just for a nice project, I like to make them properly.  Well, sort of.

I am probably overanalysing the problem. I tend to do that as a scientific type, but as a means of explanation, a negative dihedral basically means that a stick or plane of wood has a downward bend to it, whereas a pos. dih. would be an upward bend when held horizontally. Also, I am looking for something with more range than 20-30 yards. I think here my design becomes a flaw. In truth, it's probably not the best design, but I'll try to work with it, see what I can make it do.

The stick does have more than a thirty yard range, but it won't kill something large beyond that range.  I'm going to try other sticks which are thinner and longer range.  I already have a couple, but... you can never have enough throwing sticks.

that's true in fact  when i go out to use them I always carry three with me .from what I have read that's quite traditional. from experience quite helpful. the first one misses and flushes the quarry. second throw can be planed if it also miss that it flushes the quarry into good third shot position two people working together both with 3-5 sticks is very deadly to poor little rabbits

That's the way I thought of it.  I only have about 5 sticks anyway, in total.  Probably my favourite weapon - but I say that about a lot of weapons.  I wish I had an immensely strong back, a massive pack, and a few extra arms so I could carry all the weapons I like a lot.  And other things.  Alas.

The secret I have found is monkey butlers. You train one at first, and then they train others. It's actually a very efficient system.

But they are also angrier and stronger, not good when you have a whole entourage armed to the teeth.
