english Ex Member	Re: Atlatl Reply #37 - Nov 20^th, 2004 at 11:20am The "French Atlatl" on thuds cave does not just have string as part of it; it is a piece of string. I can't be bothered to get it to work. Especially when you have the wonderous real atlatl at hand.

yes ive more or less given up on it. Just wondering its an interesting looking atlatl but i think im going to put it aside.

I have made a spear. its pretty big and i did not carve down the front yet. So its thicker at the blade end. i stuck a throwing knife in the blade end. i want to turn this into an atlatl dart but its way way too heavy to throw. Im using the german atlatl that was on thuds cave. Im thinking maybe it will work if i build a different design of atlatl.
