Here is my how i carry my rocks. I made this with some bark taned leather and some duck cloth. I have found that the strap is not wide enough and it digs into my shoulder when i have a full load of rocks so i will make a wider strap for it. I am also thinking of engraving somthing in the leather.

Reply #31 - Jul 10^th, 2006 at 6:00pm i like that. it's nice. maybe instead of making a whole new shoulder strap you make a slider that slides on over the stap that is a wide padded peice of material that you put across your shoulder. it is comfortable and you can just slide it off and use the naked strap if you want to.

I don't know if anyone caught the post about my bucket, but I was only joking about it doubling as a urinal and a martini shaker, it's just for my slinging stuff. It's one of those ''ice melt'' buckets and it has stood the test of time to say the least. It is a good idea to spend a half hour collecting a cache of good stones so you don't have to bother when you start slinging. I poked a few holes in the bottom so I can use it as a giant ''spaghetti strainer'' for rinsing muddy or sandy rocks.
