Lots of variables to consider. I can underhand a golfball & make it look just like a really pretty 7-9-iron shot. But underhanding doesnt put backspin on the ball, it's so tough to duplicate action of the lower-numbered clubs. Overhanding puts some backspin on a golfball, so action is closer to golf club. Distance with sling or club depends on skill of slingster or golfer. Also, golfballs at just 1.56oz are pretty light sling ammo. mgreenfield
