Rob,

Simple explanation.  I've been sick.  So slinging.org has been my official pass time.  I'll soon go back to normal life and won't be able to spend as much time dreaming up ways to promote the sling in the modern world.  Every man needs a mission; even when he's sick.  Mine will end soon unless I keep staying up all night looking at sling websites and making myself sicker :-)

I hope that this whole thing really comes through for us, because I'm excited.

Grin Some of the greatest contributions to humanity have come about when people are layed up! Grin  He he, that explains a lot though, I barely have time to keep up as much as I do.  I was wondering how the rest of you do it!  But a bang-up use of your time, man!

Yeah, starting to feel a little better *cough cough*.  Inspite of spending every waking moment at sling sites... and many moments when I should have been asleep..  When better I'll be able to spend more time on my technique.  Smiley

Well I picked up my Uncle from the airport this morning and he said he picked a sling up for me  Cheesy! I haven't gotten it yet, but hopefully I'll see him again this weekend so I'll get some pictures up for all to see. There's a chance it might be a "tourist's trinket" non-functioning sling but we'll find out...

I'll keep posted...

I got the sling yesterday and here's an image of it -

...

It's a nice sling, my only worry though is that the knot on the free end isn't very secure and could come unraveled with use. But either way, I'd say it was worth the $2 - $2.50 that was paid for it.....  Smiley

BTW -  It is a split pouch, just kinda hard to see...

Ok well I got a chance to use it and it works well! But the free end did come unknotted after about 10 throws so it's in need of repairs...

I believe (though not positive) it is braided out of woven Alpaca wool so it's veeery soft... The cords on each side are about 2ft (or so) long and the cords are about 1/4" thick....

Unfortunatly I don't have any more of them and I don't think my uncle is planning on going back to Peru anytime soon so that's that....  Undecided

WHOAH!  Beautiful Luke!!!!!  I am excited!!  I hope that my sources come through for me here soon.  If that price indicates our range at all!!!  Then we are all going to own Peruvian slings!  I hope so!  Beautiful sling.

I was just joking about taking a few, although I wish I could.  If I had one, I probably wouldn't use it.  I'd put it on my wall or something.  If i had two... maybe it would be a different story.  It's a fantastic item, thats for sure.

Hey Everybody,

I just got a reply from Daniel Samanez of Andeanart.com

And he's got the slings, knows where to get more, and says the prices are good!  His letter is below.

Quote:
Hello Ben,

I finally got them. I have two by my side and now I know how to get them. Price is ok.

Please give us a couple of days to quote exact prices.

Best regards,

Daniel Samanez
AndeanArt

When he contacts me again, I'll let you all know here, and everyone interested in ordering a sling or two can order directly from him.

Imported Peruvian Slings!  Awesome!

Awesome Indeed!!

I would love to have one. I would love to have your opinion of it too Ben--our native expert. Can't wait to hear the price--I hope.
