Last fall I made a sling http://slinging.org/index.php?page=netted-sling-instructions---matthias-borstad - using bass wood fiber, I  spun  (2 ply) It worked very well.

Have some fiber left.  Think I will make a woven sling next.

TwitterinBird, if you look up at the top of the page in General Discussion, you will see the tread we are currently using to show off our slings. But, seeing as how I'm already here...

Hey Twitterinbird!  I found your article a few days ago, I didn't have much time to work on it as I had a bad muscle/head cold that put me out for a few days ^ (see above) but I have just half a strap too braid now and I will have a netted sling!  I will have one of every variety now, I just need to make some of the variety variants, I will post on here pics!  Thanks so much for the tutorial man, mine came out pretty good considering I am completely new to weaving, (if you don't count making a chainmail vest weaving,) and braiding, the net loops are a little larger/smaller here and there and it is bunching up at either end but is completely usable and looks nice, makes for a good deep pouch.
