Hi All,

I picked up a sling on Amazon in April of 2025 and have attempted to hit frisbee golf baskets with tennis balls when I walk my dog. I've had very limited success until recently, when I consulted ChatGPT which taught me about release windows. Now I still miss the baskets with an occasional hit every ten shots but at least the misses are consistently near the basket.

Nice to find this group with whom I can share my hits and misses.

Hi!A frisbee target is an interesting target. I tried to weave something similar out of ropes and plastic pipes. And play golf-sling))

I think you'll find that we might be even more helpful answering questions than ChatGPT, but perhaps not as fast of turn around time :)

I live in Sacramento! I picked up a pointer from one of the threads already, and I tried it today, and it worked! Well, enough times that I believe in it.

You have to treat LLMs like a smart but fallible friend. Listen to what they have to say, and evaluate the content. Sometimes they are off, sometimes they are on, and sometime you can't tell. :o

@xy747 I know of one other slinger in the Sacramento area. And i know a couple in the central valley.

I'm trying to have a get together of slingers sometime in June/July. Would you care to join?
