Title: Rope dart

Another interesting type of weapon is a Rope dart. In terms of motor movement, it is a bit like the flight of a projectile from a sling. It is also an excellent sports equipment for coordination.  Throws can be made with both hands and feet, and even with the head, twisting and accelerating the projectile by rotating around the neck.

You need a natural rope so that it doesn't burn your body, arm, or neck. https://dzen.ru/shorts/65a94685d87961510b26da19

Try it-it's quite exciting. The length of the rope is selected individually. My favorite size is 5-6 meters. The weight of the weight is about 80-100 grams.

It is better to train on the safe option. A ball with a weight inside and a rope. At the first stage, it can be dangerous and it is better not to take risks.  Then you can switch to a sharp dart, I usually tie a throwing knife. It's quite interesting to throw them into a wooden stand for knives and axes.

The children really like this rope dragon with a ribbon. In the video, the length of the tape is almost 5 meters. https://dzen.ru/video/watch/6415d9dadac81b380e018d6c

Oh I have tried it a number of years ago. It's a lot of fun.

My first version was a large metal bolt tied to a length of rope. I got the hang of the elbow throw and threw the bolt at a brick wall. Bits of brick were flying off.

My second version was a tennis ball filled with sand, tied into a monkey's fist.

The only remotely appropriate rope I had was a terrible stretchy cotton rope that tightened around the ball and looked terrible. It also cut into my neck and arms. It got unpleasant quickly.

I could do the elbow throw (behind the back kinda thing), I could do the ones where you interrupt the swing with your knee or foot and get it to go up, I could do the one where you pass it between your legs, then over your foot and kick the ball up. I could do one or two of the complicated ones where you get tangled, but those were not as fun as the simple ones that really hit hard.

The biggest problem was that there were no good, comprehensive videos or guides with instructions with progressions. I would have loved like a series of a few videos with it getting progressively more advanced. I found like two or three good videos from some sort of summer camp on youtube and that was it.

The combination of bad rope and no progression guides got me to quit.

Yes, I agree. Any new hobby takes time. The world is so big and there are so many interesting things in it. Alas, ten lifetimes are not enough to master them all))
