Welcome from Southwest Florida! You've got me by a few years, but I've been slinging, off and on, for probably 40 years. One of these days I'll hit the barn door from the inside.

Let me know if you want/need any help with that staff sling. Make the loaded length of the sling about 2/3 to 3/4 of overall length of the cane...
