As many of you know the late CA's SITH sling is circulating round slingers worldwide, and it has for now returned to the UK. The idea being: you receive it, use it a little and pass it to the next guy. See below:

Rather than slinging seperately, me and Zud thought it would be cool to have a slinging meetup. There is a place a little south of Derby which Alex has frequented for slinging, it is apparently the centre of the three places which claim to be the centre of England. We think it would be a fitting place for a meeting to use Alex's final sling and also perhaps just have a bit of a slinging session and a pint after.

For now, we are aiming for a meeting at some point in Jan 2025, however, this might change.

The purpose of this thread is to get the news out! Any UK slingers that want to join are welcome. Just put your name down or drop me a message if you are curious.

If it helps, I live on alluvial sand so have access to a supply of good slingstones - smooth and round !

If it helps anyone decide, I don't mind bringing a load with me.

I have looked at the diary and can only consider alternate weeks due to child care issues.
I am going to suggest a Saturday as it is less likely to be a working day.
I think the 4th of January is too close to new year.
So 18th or better yet why not just say Sat 1st Feb. Easy to remember.
