Title: Shop recommendation: La Honda Trenzada Post by erricrice on Sep 5th, 2024 at 11:34am
Just purchased a balearic sling from here and would highly recommend his slings! Nice tight, clean braid and well sewn leather sheathing on the pouch and finger loop. And fast shipping to boot! Made it to Florida from Mexico in 6 days (including a sunday and a holiday).
He's got a selection of different traditional and synthetic materials available, all braided balearic style. https://www.etsy.com/shop/LaHondaTrenzada |

Really nice looking slings. The price looked good too until I saw the shipping cost. Still not too bad overall though.

And....I ended up buying one. ;D
I'll leave my thoughts here as well once I get it and try it out. Something else I'll mention too, one of the things I noticed for this Etsy store is a lot of reviews talking about good communication. I can wholeheartedly agree with that. I sent the seller a message to confirm the length of the sling. I got a reply in 3 minutes. |

Yes agreed! He's very engaged and happy to talk slings. Mine is holding up well after lots of use this week!
And yeah shipping was a little expensive, but I think it is making up a bit for the lower overall price and international shipping is hard to judge. |

Glad to hear it's holding up well. Definitely what I would expect.
He sent me a link to the one I have coming, https://www.facebook.com/share/r/Zxjve6s8Ri4tPgtK/?mibextid=D5vuiz. It's Facebook, but it's open to the public. The sling is one of the polypropylene ones. Length is 67cm. erricrice wrote on Sep 10th, 2024 at 10:39am:
Yep, I agree. |

Oh yeah! Let me know how it is! I'm really interested in getting one of those, but my bank account needs to recover from all that dyneema I bought first ;D

Hey very nice! Looks super clean like the others on his store. Woof at that 85g though. I feel like I've only just finally started to keep up with my sisal one at 79g after two weeks. Although I think that's mostly because I've pretty much exclusively used ultralight slings up to this point, and I'm a fairly small guy to begin with (5'9" and 150lbs). I gotta start pumping some iron!
I imagine the polypropylene will be ultra durable, that stuff is super tough in other applications I've seen. How's it feel from that perspective? |

The sling feels indestructible. I have another one very similar to it. I don't use it much because it's a 24 inch sling, which is a bit shorter than I like. I was told by the maker that it was made for action and have no concerns slinging it at maximum.
