From an Anglo-Saxon group I belong to... David's sling in a fragment of a Hebrew manuscript dated 1301 from the town of Tudela in Navarre, Spain...

Great picture.  I do wonder what the writing says.

Interesting. It looks almost like a balearic sling with a woven part in between the sides of the pouch.

A Balearic? Nope. The letter is closed

It's definitely not balearic in pouch design, but the cords look like those of a balearic sling.

Now that I think about it, all that it would have in common with a balearic sling is the presence of braided cords. :P
