As the subject says, I've been thinking about creating a new board on the forum for education related topics.  Anything like tutorials, instructional videos, how-to videos, etc.  The content of this board would be for topics related to slings and slinging.  Stuff for other weapons should still go in the Other Primitive Weapons board.

The main reason for the new board is to help clear up the General Slinging Discussion a little bit.  We already have a board for Slinging as a Sport for competition stuff, and Project Goliath for history, but a lot of stuff still ends up in the General Discussion area.  I think a separate area for learning how to make a sling or learning a new style is a pretty logical addition.

Something to note is this would be a gradual adjustment.  A start could be to move everything from the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS and Tutorials topic (https://slinging.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1260271797) and the PDF leather pouch templates (https://slinging.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1344443925) to the new board.  That is the kind of content I see existing there.

This is in no way definite yet.  At this point I'm just looking for other thoughts on the idea.  I'm very curious to hear what others think.  Good idea, bad idea, would you do it another way?  Let me know.

Might be easier to navigate for new comers, this place can feel like a maze sometimes.

I've seen the area in the admin center where a new board can be created.  I'll take a closer look at it soon and see if I can create one.
