Anybody remember where the list of the word "sling" in various languages is hiding?  I can't seem to find it.

What gets referenced in the first link is this page: http://www.slinging.org/wiki/index.php?title=Sling_in_Different_Languages.  But unfortunately the link doesn't work.  I think there is a way to get these older slinging.org links to work.  I'll see if I can track it down.  Or if anyone knows offhand, just let us know.

Fun fact! The Hawaiian name for practice is ma’a. The Hawaiian word for sling is also ma’a.

Joe -- I think this is something that needs to be resurrected, and I'd be happy to create a new file/list/thread to pin here perhaps or in Project Goliath maybe...

Based on the badge in the upper left corner of the linked page, this was originally part of Project Goliath.  So that could definitely be a great place for it.

Yah!!!   Although that format is pretty, I think a regular post in Project Goliath would be more useful -- it would allow easy addition of other languages -- Icelandic for example, which we have, plus things like Anglo-Saxon.

I created a list for Staff Sling some time ago which is in Project Goliath.
