Sometimes you have to give people time. Most challenges never really got all that much response on the forum. Usually only 2 or maybe 3 would participate (except the big ones like pumpkin and egg). I think your idea was good. Just don't have a lot of slinging time at this point in the year. Days are too short, so all evenings are gone. I just started working on a challenge that Kick posted like 4 months ago.

I second this. The idea is a good one. We are just slow.
Others have suggested similar things. Also, another fun wrinkle would be, if you can do around the target once, how many times can you do it? |

Nice, round. What did u think about throwing at the different spots on the target?

Well it’s a very good example of how much the mental game plays into a shot. I was easily able to keep it within an area but as soon at I’m trying to hit a Diana I fumble.
I think as a training tool you would be better using the actual edge of the target. With the whole area it’s less precise . Or each actual corner. Like a smaller area. But it was a fun challenge. Actually thought I was gonna get it perfect for a second, ha ha not |

I’m glad u enjoyed it. This exercise is to help, eye hand coordination for when u r hunting and ur target moves in an unpredicted direction. Ur arms brain, its muscles (this is what’s called muscle memory, the muscles ability to remember what it needs to do in certain conditions and does it with out thought) to make very small corrections during the throw to b able to move ur point of impact around tracking ur line of sight.

Aerial targets are a great training tool for hunting. Small window to make the shot no time to think. Also rolling or moving targets.
My favourite training tools are Standard baleric target in rounds of 5,10,30 or 100 throws Single small static target is cans bottles ect Can challenge (cans in a minute) Aerial targets Stump shooting (random targeting random distance) And for power I like to throw distance and sometimes destruction (pumpkin ect) Im focused more on my precision shots lately than any target scoring. Just need to get out of the house and sling more rocks at almost full power |

Sweet, let’s do a different challenge more aimed at hunting level accuracy. I propose we use a 1.5in (38.1mm) x 1.5in (38.1mm) block at a distance of 13m, on the ground or set up off ground no more than 4in (10.16cm). How many shots to hit this size targets, any ammo is good. No Bounces, No hits to the stand the targets on, that doesn’t count. Only a direct hit to the 1.5in target counts and it would b preferred to use an ammo that will leave a mark on the target so as to c how precise the shot was.
