The red and white border did not work as well as I imagined.
Peach stone slinger. I was thinking of orange and peach orchards when making the burnt orange and peach one.

I like that color combo. The slinger really stands out. This patch shape looks okay but I think just a regular circle is the best.

AArggh - I realise this is just me.
But all 4 stances are wrong, just in different ways lol

Attached is the original drawing.
The stance is accurate and depicts a slinger in mid throw.

So far all of your variations are just a bit 'off' and from a practical slinging point of view just wouldn't work.

Other tan that, they're great :-)

I'm no good with colours (don't have a favourite one and rarely remember the colour of anything), but the one far right stands out most for me.
Also has the cleanest and most even outline.
Now reproduce that with the image below, and you've got a winner :-)

Are you embroidering these by hand or do you have one of those fancy sewing machines that you can just drop a memory stick onto with images and it does it all for you ?

The catal hyuk image is the only historical depiction I'e ever seen of a slinger in action. That is 100% accurate and based on an actual slinger, rathr than just a model in a starting pose.

It depicts that moment just before the sligers weight comes down on his leading foot and the sling is brought round for the power release.

It's truly dynamic.

Of course it could also be someone throwing a massive quoit - but, well, it's not :-)

Thank you also to joe_meadmaker for your input.

The patches are all hand embroidered by me. Don't tell the guys, ok? :) Getting better at it each time.

I was concerned the image might belong to some one in our time.
That was the reason I made changes.
It will take me some image processing work to use the catal hyuk image. I will do that.

As the orchard slinger in burnt orange and peach please the most I will make some 2 inch stamp patches with the catal hyuk image and let's see how that works.
