Trying different ways to stitch the figure. So far I think red on black looks the best. Maybe better than the black one with the gold coloured metal thread.

Very nice! :thumb:
I think I like the one in the lower right the best. Although I like the green a lot too. |

Thank you joe_meadmaker. The green surprised me a little at how well it presents. Have an idea about developing the lower right one a little.
I have prepared four more ovoid patches. 2 lefts and 2 rights. more photos later. |

can't see a green one - but lower right is the only one with a viable stance :-)
The other three will either sling backwards or dislocate their hips when trying to turn round ;-) I mean they all look great, just that some of the figures aren't in a viable position to complete the throw :-) |

Oh I see, green circle.
Unless you can get the circles a bit more evenly stitched, they'll probably look better without any circles. |

Hi Curious Aardvark.
I accept the stance is awkward. My image was inspired from here (scroll down - Jaegoor's image https://slinging.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1172017416/6675 and from another colour photo found on this site; a page I cannot find at the moment. (So attached the image.) The images I reference have to me a cave painting quality to them. An artistic standard I thought I could approach. Super hero comic artists pose their characters in dramatic ways no human would use. The poses are mostly a long way not practical. In this case the image fills the canvas and communicates the subject of the patch. Yes my needle works leaves a lot to be desired. But hey, I never did this before. I thought I could. Cheers, David |

That's exactly what that image is. It was found in Turkey. From around 7000 BC if I remember correctly. |

I learned something! :)
Thank you joe_meadmaker. Just stitched up an ovoid patch to-day. I think the outline needle placement is better. There are three others in the same embroidery frame to do. Bye the bye, all observations about my patches are well received. We're having some fun is all. David |
