Title: The sling my true everyday carry Post by lobohunter on Jul 21st, 2022 at 1:02pm
Hey everyone
I the good old sling no matter whatever hobbies I get into I always have my old stand by sling in my pocket It usually nothing more than to bide a little time down by a river But has been useful occasionally from procuring game To on one occasion discouraging abnoxious bear Well any way I thought I would share the playlist of my few sling videos https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtnIwZ-jPWeBPmyUWG_JBI2H_R4Go7Hu7 |

The link isn't working for me. The address has some extra stuff at the end. Cutting the extra stuff off worked: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtnIwZ-jPWeBPmyUWG_JBI2H_R4Go7Hu7.
Good stuff man! I don't normally carry a sling on me. If I'm going disc golfing or something like that, I'll loop one through my belt. Otherwise I have one in my truck all the time. So I usually have a sling close at hand. :) |

Always have a sling in my pocket.
Extremely useful when explaining to people that I'm a SLINGER and NOT a swinger ;-) Plus has come in useful on quite a few occasions as a spare dog lead. I'm surprised you needed a sling for a bear Lobo. Would have thought you standing up and going 'Raarrgghhh' Would do the job. The poor bear would think: 'holy crap a sasquatch !' and leg it ! :-) That 'no windup reverse overhand' style is actually surprisingly effective. I occasionally use it with a tennis ball for the dogs. Useful when dream's jumping up and down and you don't want to smack him in the head with a windup. :-) Anyway when are we going to see you on forged in fire ? |

Well CA I don't know about forged in fire
But have definitely used my sling as a temporary lead Also a strap to carry wood books whatever needed at the time As for the "no wind-up reverse overhand style" That's my go too for hunting. Or really any time I really want to hit something inside of thirty yards lol Good talking to you again CA. |

CA that makes it sound like it was part of a plan Not at all I saw the bear like many others and thought awe cool a bear Then the bear did a couple fake charge's and grunts then stood up honestly I didn't think they really did that Till then I freaked was yell and tossing sticks yes a couple of rocks in the sling I am sure the Bear left because of the crazy beast in the woods :D |
