It's the field behind the marquee - which won't be there.
It belongs to the golden cup pub/hotel/restaurant in yoxall, staffordshire.

They've been clients of mine for at least 15 years. But it was only as I was wandering around outside last night with my wifi analyser, that I realised just how great that field would be.

Full facilities on site, rooms for anyone who wanted to stay over (david).
parking and we'll hopefully get some local paper interest.
As it should bring in customers - it's free :-)

Initially I'll just go for a one day introduction event with a competition at the end of the day.

It'll be tennis balls and sock balls only.

But pubs love pub based clubs - so we could maybe even make a regular meeting of it, there's plenty of places I can store a permament target.

And if we could get some large backstop nets (rubble netting probably) I see no reason we couldn't use clay ammo.

The area is approx 50 metres x 50 metres.
easily large enough for sling tag and two shooting ranges.
Not enough for a distance competition - but everything else - no problem

So is anyone interested in coming along ?

If it goes well - we can look at a limited international event, probably next year.

Well I can arrange transport from Burton on Trent train station.
That's as close to yoxall as the transport system will probably get you anyway.
We don't want to bother the local taxi drivers.

With luck my mate Will have his early retirement through and be looking for jobs  :-)

Virtual wise, once I get the password for the 5 GHz network, we should have internet at least halfway down the field. At the moment the 2.4 GHz gets to the gate at the start of the field.
The streaming is definitely a job for Gandalf :whistle:
