Title: Steel trade point arrowheads
Post by vetryan15 on Jan 8th, 2021 at 2:23pm
Still a work in progress, and i have a  bunch of steel.  When i get str crazy during winter i gotta find something to do,  too cold outside to forge. So next best thing. Cutting out steel arrowheads and getting em readyy for spring, so i can
quench. When the forge is back up running. I picked up the 2 man saw from the local Amish auction they host every year. Its gonna be our new yearly tradition.  It was that much fun, outbidding the Amish for tools, when i went with a few friends.

The man, the myth, the bandana.

Love it man. Arrow making/Bow making is a great winter tradition. Especially when you live in a place that actually gets cold to where a lot of your other options disappear.

You could have a nice little bundle of archery stuff made and ready for spring if you felt like it.

Thanks,  i just wish i had gotten caught up on firewood last year. Its been so mild this year we only got 2 feet of snow so far. The usual here is about 6 to 8 feet every winter. I think i would get more done if i had a shed as a workshop during the winter. Hopefully in a yearor 2 iwill have one set up.

Have you checked Morphy’s porch?  I hear it’s a good place to find free sheds.

Walter,

The range is 68grains up to 105grains. The 2 in the middle are 78 grains and 87 grains. When side by side you can notice  a slight size difference.  But i can still remove more material to try and make em uniform

The real irony in that statement is we had two sheds in boxes on the drive way. Someone stole one.  :'( :'(  ;D
