I have finally managed to fix my trebuchet this year. First bowling ball launch of the season. More to come!

750lbs in the box. Box weighs 450 empty. 15lb bowling ball. Not sure where it impacted but I recovered it 770 feet downrange. I think it bounced/rolled maybe 150-200 feet perhaps. I need a spotter downrange to mark impacts.

That's fantastic! I love watching trebuchets. One of these days I want to make a small scale version that I can use in my yard.

Being a spotter isn't very dangerous as long as you are paying attention. You can stand like 50 feet to the side of the shooting path and be fine. I had some people filming from downrange in the latter half of this video from last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYHppLiN0ms ; The bowling ball whistle is awesome.

I didn't know about the pumpkin challenge! I will have to get a video and post it before the 31st haha
