I was lucky enough to get a free copy of the new Total War: Troy game.

I liked the stats of the top slingers vs the top archers.

The main stats to pay attention to are range and missile damage.

I don't know why but the first thing that came to my mind after watching these charts is " Could slingers intercept an arrow volley mid-flight and save themselves or another unit irl?"

Hmmm....

It would obviously just be a random hit, but this might be a use for the shotgun sling. You'd have a better chance of hitting an arrow and deflecting its path.
